MUMBAI: Bollywood’s upcoming action blockbuster ‘Don 3’ has officially cast Kriti Sanon in the female lead role opposite Ranveer Singh, Indian media reports confirmed.
Sanon replaces actress Kiara Advani, who was initially selected for the role but had to step away from the project due to her pregnancy. The decision to bring in Kriti was made shortly after Kiara’s exit.
The highly anticipated third installment of the ‘Don’ franchise, previously helmed by legends Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, will now feature Ranveer Singh as the new Don.
Directed by Farhan Akhtar, the film is expected to go on floors in October or November, with principal shooting scheduled across various European locations.
Kriti Sanon, known for her versatility and strong screen presence, has been roped in to bring intelligence and elegance to the action-packed role — marking a fresh and exciting pairing with Ranveer Singh.
