Yesterday, when the funeral prayers were offered for the 6 people who lost their lives in the Army Aviation helicopter crash, every eye was in tears and in fact, this tragedy was sudden and no one knew anything about it beforehand.
Martyrdom is not a new thing for the Pakistan Army or security agencies because they are always prepared for it, but they are prepared for it. Will not come back.
The funeral prayers of the officers were performed at Malir Garrison and the dead bodies of the martyrs were sent to their native areas. 2 days ago, the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR) had confirmed that the missing helicopter had crashed and the bodies had been found.
Major General Amjad Hanif, who was among the martyrs, has a widow, one son and two daughters, Martyred Commanding Engineer 12 Corps Brigadier Muhammad Khalid has 3 daughters, 3 sons and a widow, Martyred pilot Major Saeed has a widow, a daughter and a son. Assistant pilot Major Muhammad Talha Manan is survived by his widow and two sons while Crew Chief Naik Mudassar Fayaz is survived by his widow.
Generally, when a soldier of the Pakistani nation lays down his life for the sanctity of the motherland or for the protection of the lives and property of his people, then we all praise the soldier who sacrificed his life for the motherland and his passion for martyrdom.
When the news of the helicopter crash and the martyrdom of all 6 people on board came out, all the political and social figures including President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and people from every walk of life expressed their regret and expressed condolences.
According to the ISPR, the helicopter crash occurred due to bad weather and reduced visibility as per the initial investigation and the same point came up during the conversation between the President and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
August is considered an important month for Pakistan because on August 14th of this month, the Muslims of the subcontinent gained freedom from British imperialism and the slavery of the Hindus and founded an independent Muslim state which we know today as Pakistan.
At the beginning of this historic month, the nation faced a great tragedy in the form of the martyrdom of 6 officers, while the number of deaths due to rain in Balochistan has reached around 170, which is regrettably less. We as a nation need unity and consensus as much as we need today, never before.
