Riyadh: Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense has issued a weather alert for several regions as rain is expected across parts of the Kingdom over the coming days.
According to the National Center for Meteorology, several areas could experience thunderstorms, hail and dusty winds from Monday through Friday, with the possibility of flooding in some locations.
Moderate to heavy rainfall is forecast in parts of Makkah, Asir, Jazan, Al-Baha and Madinah, while Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Hail and the Northern Borders region could receive light to moderate rain.
Civil Defense has urged residents to stay away from valleys, low-lying areas and flood-prone locations, and to follow safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.
