In Pakistani politics, sometimes one has to sacrifice for power, sometimes for a position and sometimes for a good cause, but the politics of the present day seems to be far away from this.
If you take the example of the Pakistan People’s Party, you will understand the issue of sacrifice and politics. The current greatest politician of PPP is either former President Asif Zardari or Bilawal Bhutto, however, when this party started, the greatest politician was Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto.
Going forward, the first elected prime minister of Pakistan Zulfikar Bhutto’s daughter Benazir Bhutto took over the reins of this party and made history by becoming the first woman Prime Minister of the country. Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto also returned to power by becoming the Prime Minister of the country and so did his daughter, but both died tragically.
Former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto was hanged by a dictator, then his daughter was assassinated. The foundations on which the Pakistan People’s Party stands today include the blood of important figures and politicians of the Bhutto family.
On the other hand, if we talk about the Pakistan Muslim League, it was the party that is considered as the leader of the freedom movement. Today’s PML-N and PML-Q and others are factions of the same party, however, personalism has always caused various crises in the country’s politics.
The long march of Chairman PTI Imran Khan in the present era started with a heartbreaking incident that no one could have imagined. Sadaf Naeem, a reporter of a TV channel, was crushed to death in an unforutunate incident.
Later, former PM Imran Khan said in his Twitter message that there is a sea of people along with PTI long march on GT Road. “I have been watching the revolution in the country for 6 months. The question is, will it be soft through elections or destructive through bloodshed?”
Imran Khan also went to the family of the female journalist to mourn the sudden death of the journalist and condoled with them.
