ISLAMABAD: The weather in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi on Friday became pleasant due to rain, rain and hail broke the effect of heat wave, Islamabad is still covered by clouds.
It rained in Attock and other areas of Punjab where the wind made the weather pleasant. In the Mansehra district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, people breathed a sigh of relief as the temperature dropped due to rain.
The Meteorological Department says that this rain will continue till Saturday. The rain-producing system is likely to enter Balochistan on Friday and there is a possibility of rain in nine districts.
The Meteorological Department says that the weather will remain moderate due to rain on May 10 and 11. Meanwhile, the weather in Lahore continues to be severe as the minimum temperature is expected to rise to 26 degrees Celsius and maximum 41 degrees Celsius. According to the forecast, there is a possibility of light rain in Lahore on Sunday.
Earlier, the Meteorological Department had predicted mainly hot and dry weather in most parts of the country during the last few days.
The Meteorological Department says that the day temperature is likely to rise gradually in the plains of the country. The weather may be partly cloudy with light rain and thundershowers at a few places in Gilgit-Baltistan.
