Would like to star in a Pakistani drama says Turgut Alp

KARACHI: Cengiz Coskun, the actor who plays Turgut Alp in the Turkish series ‘Diriliş: Ertuğrul’ (Ertugrul Ghazi), has expressed interest in working in a Pakistani drama.
The Turkish actor appeared in a candid interview on a private TV channel on Eid-ul-Azha. He thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan, who recommended to air the drama serial in Pakistan and dub it in Urdu for local audiences.
When asked if he thought ‘Ertugrul’ will be such a massive hit in Pakistan, the actor said that he expected it to be popular in Muslim countries but the success in Pakistan was more than expected.
He recalled that when the team started working on the project, they were told they would be unable to finish the project, but it not only became a reality but a massive hit too.
The actor revealed that he learned about his popularity in Pakistan through Instagram where he received a number of “marriage proposals”. However, he revealed that he was unmarried but already committed.
The actor said he will be glad to work in a Pakistani drama if offered. He also revealed that he has plans to taste Biryani if he gets a chance to visit the country.
Coskun’s character in the Turkish series is of any early warriors of the Ottoman Empire and a close friend of Ertuğrul Ghazi. The Turkish TV series centers around the life of Ertuğrul, the father of Osman who founded the Ottoman Empire.
