LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Khawaja Asif has moved the accounting court demanding B-class facilities in jail.
In his plea submitted in the accountability bureau through the lawyer, Khawaja Asif has requested to allow homemade food, medical facilities, and provision of a heater in jail.
The application states that Khawaja Asif is a sitting Member National Assembly (MNA), former senator and minister, an LLB, senior citizen and an under trial suspect and should be kept separate from other inmates.
Khawaja Asif was arrested in December last year by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) officials for allegedly having excessive wealth compared to the sources of income. He is currently on a fourteen-day physical remand.
NAB officials claimed the arrest was sanctioned by Chairman NAB Justice retd Javed Iqbal himself after the PML-N could not convince the three-member committee on his sources of income,
