Jemima Goldsmith, the ex-wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, is recovering after suffering injuries from a fall while hiking in South Africa. The 50-year-old film producer was in Cape Town for the New Year’s Eve holiday when the accident occurred.
Goldsmith, who lives in London with her two sons, Suleman and Qasim, was reportedly hiking up the famous Lion’s Head mountain, which stands at 2,194 feet above sea level. After reaching the summit, she unfortunately lost her footing while descending, resulting in a painful fall.
Following the incident, Jemima was quickly transported to a hospital in Cape Town, where she was seen in a wheelchair and later on crutches. In a series of Instagram photos shared on Sunday, she revealed her condition with a mix of humor and positivity, saying, “Festive break (pun intended) in Cape Town.”
The photos showed her smiling despite the injury, with her leg in an Aircast and a hospital porter assisting her. In some pictures, she was seen enjoying her hike earlier in the day, wearing black shorts, a matching T-shirt, and white trainers.
Though the accident has been a painful start to the year for Goldsmith, her condition has reportedly improved, and she is now on the mend.
Jemima’s fans and followers have expressed their support as she recovers from the unfortunate fall.
