Pakistani pop star Aima Baig has finally addressed the speculation surrounding her facial injury, firmly shutting down rumours of domestic violence after a visible bruise near her eye sparked concern and widespread discussion online.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, Aima thanked fans for their concern but urged social media users not to turn what she described as an accidental mishap into an unnecessary controversy.

“Guys, please chill,” she wrote, clarifying that she was “absolutely fine” and that there was “no domestic violence, no hidden story, and nothing remotely of that sort.”

According to Aima, the injury occurred at around 5 a.m. after she returned home exhausted from dance rehearsals.

“I literally slammed my face into a door at 5 a.m. after coming back from dance rehearsals, exhausted out of my mind,” she explained, adding that the incident left her with a bruise and that, at the time, she simply wanted a little pampering.

The singer further reassured her followers that she is currently doing well, describing herself as healthier and happier than she has been in a long time.

“I’m working, dancing, rehearsing, and genuinely healthier and happier than I’ve been in a long time. It’s just a bruise, and I’m all good now,” she shared.

Aima’s clarification came after she previously posted a close-up photograph showing a prominent bruise near her eye. The image quickly triggered concern among followers, with some social media users speculating about the cause of her injury.

Before addressing the rumours directly, Aima had also revealed that she was already battling health issues, including a fever and flu, when the accidental injury occurred. However, she has now made it clear that there is no hidden story behind the bruise.

Wrapping up her message with humour, Aima urged people to let the matter rest.

“I really appreciate the love and concern, but please don’t turn a clumsy 5 a.m. moment into something it isn’t. No extra drama needed,” she wrote, before adding, “Now let the bruise live and die in peace.”
