A horrific incident has saddened many of us after an Instagram influencer named Anamika Bishnoi was shot dead by her own husband in Rajasthan.
Hailing from Rajasthan’s Phalodi, Anamika Bishnoi’s brutal killing was captured on CCTV camera. She was staying with her kid after her separation from her husband.
As per Indian media, it is said to be a case of dowry which was also filed in court against her husband.
Bishnoi, who had over one lakh followers on Instagram, can be seen being shot at by her husband in the video. The woman is seen suffering a fatal injury on her neck in the attack. She lost her life due to the bullet injury. Her husband has been identified as Mahiram.
Bishnoi being shot dead by her husband has been doing rounds on social media. Such violent incidents are not new in India, In 2022, a 22-year-old social media influencer, Leena Nagwanshi found hanging dead on her terrace. The same killing happened in India in 2020 aswell. Such horrific incident raises the question of why the majority of female influencers are the easiest target.
It is astonishing that every day that goes by, women are killed the world over in the ordinariness of daily life — not in times of war, internal conflicts or gang violence, but by the people closest to them.
These women are not mere statistical data: When you know their names, once you have seen their photographs, watched their videos, or read their stories, the individual tragedies become haunting nightmares.
