India has suffered an estimated loss of $956 million (approximately PKR 267 billion) following the destruction of five warplanes by the Pakistan Air Force during India’s recent aggressive operation named “Sandhoor”, according to ISPR sources.
The losses include the downing of three Rafale jets, each valued at around $288 million, along with one Su-30MKI (worth $62 million) and one MiG-29 (worth $30 million). The Rafale, produced by France’s Dassault Aviation, is one of the world’s most advanced and expensive fighter jets, especially when equipped with full weapons systems and spares.
The total damage has not only dealt a severe financial blow to India but also impacted global markets, with Dassault Aviation’s shares declining following reports of the Rafale losses.
Pakistan’s military has termed the retaliatory action as a decisive and proportionate response, asserting that the aggressive air strikes from India were effectively neutralized and punished.
