Azerbaijan has expressed strong solidarity with Pakistan and condemned India’s recent military actions amid escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
In an official statement, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry voiced deep concern over the situation, denouncing the missile strikes that resulted in civilian casualties and the destruction of religious sites.
“We condemn military attacks against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan that killed and injured several civilians,” it said.
Azerbaijan extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery to those injured. The Azerbaijani government emphasized the importance of restraint and urged both nations to resolve the conflict through diplomatic means.
This expression of support follows India’s launch of “Operation Sindoor” on May 7, targeting what it described as terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
According to Pakistan’s military, the strikes resulted in at least 31 deaths and 46 injuries, marking one of the most severe escalations between the two nuclear-armed neighbors in over two decades.
