Chase, known for playing Martin Qwerly on Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide (2004–2007), became the subject of widespread concern after viral videos showed him in a disheveled state.

The Riverside Police Department interacts with Chase weekly through their Public Safety Engagement Team.
Officials state that while he remains cordial and cooperative, he has consistently declined offers for temporary shelter, mental health services, and substance treatment.
Chase reportedly has bipolar disorder. His mother deactivated a GoFundMe campaign that had raised over $1,200, explaining that he needs professional medical attention rather than cash, which he is unable to manage.
Police confirmed that Chase is not wanted for any crimes.
The news has deeply affected his former colleagues and the acting community.
