Lucky are those who are blessed by Allah with children, especially those whom Allah has mercy on in the form of daughters. But the way this mercy is being treated in today’s modern society is reminiscent of the age of ignorance.
The time when a daughter was killed at birth. Before the Prophethood, the Arabs were involved in various moral evils. Killing someone for a small thing was just a spectacle for them. There, women were degraded and the birth of a girl child was considered ominous, so they were buried in the ground immediately after birth.
In those days it was considered a disgrace for any man to be a father of a girl. Things were so bad that the parents were congratulated on the passing of the girls. In the Quran, the Almighty says:
When one of them is given the good news of the birth of a daughter, his face turns black and he becomes sad. He hides from people to show his face to anyone after this bad news. He thinks that he should take his daughter with humiliation or bury her in the dust. See what a bad decision they make. (Al Nahal 58, 59).
This cruel method of burying girls alive was common in ancient times in Arabs. One of them was the economic downturn which made people want fewer eaters. He also thought that whoever had more sons would have so many supporters and helpers.
The daughters were killed because they had to be protected in tribal battles and could be of no use in defense. When the enemy tribes suddenly raided each other, they either enslaved or sold off whatever girls fell into their hands. For these reasons, people used to bury their daughters alive and they did not even regret their ugly act.
But when Allah Almighty had mercy on the Arabs, they were rewarded with Islam as a gift and Islam put an end to this cruel ritual. Islam taught the Arabs that the birth of a daughter is not an accident or a tragedy but raising them, giving them a good education and training and enabling them to become a good housewife is a good deed.
Even in the present age, the ideology regarding girls is the same as it was fourteen hundred and fifty years ago. The birth of a daughter is still considered ominous and her fatherhood is a disgrace. In the days of ignorance (jahalat), people used to bury their daughters alive. In modern times, they are four steps ahead of them.
Today these facilities are also available to find out before birth whether the person to be born is a boy or a girl. Happiness is celebrated when there is a boy, but if there is a girl, it is ended before seeing the world. There was a recent incident when a husband heard his daughter and beat her wife so badly that she died before she was born.
The worst thing about society is that here women are blamed for giving birth to a girl child while Allah Almighty says:
To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He creates whom, he will, gives to whom he will maidens, and gives to whom he will males, or mixes males and females, and sterilizes whom he want. Indeed, He is Aware of all things. ” (Alshura 49,50).
According to Prabhat Jha, a professor at the University of Toronto, nearly 10 million girls have been killed worldwide in the last two decades. Allah, the Lord of the worlds, has said:
“When the living buried girl will be asked for what sin she was killed.” (Al-Takwir: 8,9)
Here the fierce wrath of Allah is seen. Allah Almighty will not ask the parents who killed their daughter on the Day of Resurrection why you killed her but will turn a blind eye to them and ask this innocent person for what fault you were killed and that girl was wronged.
It should be noted that Allah Almighty also rebuked those who kill their children due to poverty.
‘Don’t kill your children for fear of poverty. We will provide food for them as well as for you. In fact, killing them is a great sin. ”(Bani Israel: 31)
When the Holy Prophet (PBUH) came to the world, he changed the attitude of respecting girls and society. He said:
“Whoever is tempted by the birth of these girls and then treats them well, it will be a means of salvation for him from the fire of Hell.”
(Hazrat Fatima, Bukhari, and Muslim)
“Whoever takes care of three girls or three sisters and educates them and treats them with mercy until Allah makes him selfless, then Allah has made Paradise obligatory for such a person.”
On this one of the companions of Holy Prophet PBUH said, “If there is a double, then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘The same is the reward for guarding two girls.’ Ibn Abbas says that if people asked about one, you would give the same good news about one. ”(Ibn Abbas, Mushkoot)
Alas, even today there is a scene of ignorance around us. A father is spraying bullets at the little body of an innocent daughter while somewhere a mother is throwing her daughter in the garbage for fear of divorce.
God will never forgive these people for what they are doing to these little buds. It is incomprehensible what kind of desires or unfulfilled hopes are given to fulfill the daughter, when in fact if the daughter is given respect and her rightful place then it is enough to make up for the lack of a son. Can meet the limit.
Today’s Muslims have a great responsibility because no prophet will come to teach them morality because the chain of prophethood on the Holy Prophet (PBUH) has come to an end.
