Asad Umar indicates reopening wedding halls next month

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar has indicated on reopening wedding halls and restaurants after Eid-ul-Azha.
The decision came after a delegation of All Pakistan Wedding and Restaurants called on Federal Minister Asad Umar. Khalid Ayub, Habibullah, and others while in the meeting the delegation requested to open marriage halls and restaurants with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
The federal minister hinted at opening wedding halls and restaurants after Eid and said that the matter will be reviewed again at the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) meeting after Eid. 
Earlier, Asad Umar urged the nation to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha with simplicity. He evaluated the implementation of security measures to control the spread of coronavirus on Eid.

Umar asked the nation to follow the SOPs and to avoid gatherings. He also urged them not to go to parks and other places of entertainment during the Eid.
The coronavirus cases in Pakistan are now above 275,000, while the number of casualties has passed 5,800. The number of confirmed coronavirus cases has surged to 275,225 in the country, while the death toll stands at 5,865.
