Latest Exchange Rates for US Dollar and Other Currencies Released

KARACHI: The latest figures regarding foreign currency transactions in the open market and interbank across the country have been released. Throughout the business day, fluctuations were observed in the rates of all major international currencies, including the US Dollar, British Pound, and Euro.

According to business circles, the buying rate of the US Dollar in the open market was recorded at PKR 277.50, with the selling rate at PKR 278.10. Meanwhile, in the interbank market, the dollar was bought at PKR 276.90 and sold at PKR 277.40.

Continuing its high flight in the market, the British Pound reached a peak selling rate of PKR 371.91 in the open market, while its interbank rate settled at PKR 366.51.

In the open market, the selling rate for the Euro closed at PKR 315.53, the Saudi Riyal at PKR 74.50, and the UAE Dirham at PKR 76.50. Additionally, the Australian Dollar traded up to PKR 196.25 and the Canadian Dollar reached PKR 198.20 in the open market.

Among Asian and European currencies, the Chinese Yuan traded at PKR 38.98 in the open market and PKR 41.38 in the interbank market. The Japanese Yen was recorded at PKR 1.8339 in the open market and PKR 1.7542 in the interbank market.

Looking at other currencies in the interbank market, the Swiss Franc was sold at PKR 333.11, the Singapore Dollar at PKR 216.79, the Danish Krone at PKR 41.59, the Swedish Krona at PKR 27.76, and the Thai Baht at PKR 8.25.
