LAHORE: The Punjab government has formally begun the verification process for applicants under its e-bike scheme for matriculation students, with youngsters aged 16 to 18 eligible for the initiative.
According to details, the School Education Department has forwarded the records of students who applied for the e-bike scheme to the heads of relevant schools across the province. School heads have been directed to promptly verify the particulars of students enrolled in grades 9 and 10.
Heads of educational institutions have been instructed to complete the verification process within 24 hours and submit their final reports to the School Education Department.
Eligibility Criteria
The government has clarified that students must be between 16 and 18 years of age to qualify for the scheme. According to the Education Department, electric motorcycles will be provided only to those applicants whose information is verified and submitted by their respective schools.
It is worth mentioning that millions of students from schools across Punjab have already submitted applications for the e-bike scheme. Once the verification process is completed, the distribution process is expected to move forward.
