Nawaz Sharif, president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PLM-N), is set to depart for his trips to London and the US today.
According to sources, Sharif will leave his residence in Jati Umrah, Raiwind, and head to the airport to board a foreign airline flight.
Following a brief one-day stay in Dubai, the former three-time prime minister plans to continue his journey to London, United Kingdom (UK).
Sources indicate that he will travel to the United States on October 29, where he is scheduled to stay for four days. The PML-N is linking Sharif’s US trip to his medical checkup, however sources privy to the matter claim that his medical checkup will done in London while the US trip is a political visit where Sharif will meet high US officials, however, details of these meeting will be kept hidden.
Following his stay in the US, he is expected to return to his residence in London.
During his time in London, Nawaz Sharif is also expected to engage in important meetings there, although specific details regarding the agenda or participants have not been disclosed.
The former prime minister’s travel plans come amid ongoing speculation about his political future and the current state of affairs in the country.
