The Ministry of Religious Affairs has requested nominations for low-income employees from both public and corporate sectors to participate in the Hajj Labor Quota for the year 2025.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, a total of 300 positions have been allocated in the Hajj Policy 2025 specifically for the labor quota. These positions will be available to employees in the public and corporate sectors who hold grades equivalent to Scale 1 to 9, which includes laborers, industrial workers, and miners.
The expenses associated with the Hajj for those selected under this labor quota will be covered by their respective organizations as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The spokesperson emphasized that it is essential for corporate entities to be registered with the Employees’ Old-Age Benefits Institution (EOBI) and the Workers Welfare Fund (WWF) in order to be eligible for this program.
He further stated that the ministry has instructed interested organizations to submit their nominations to the WWF using the designated forms by January 15, 2025.
In a related announcement, Umar indicated that federal and provincial ministries have been directed to send nominations from their associated corporations and institutions to the Ministry of Religious Affairs through their respective ministries by the same deadline.
