The National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), Motorway North Zone, has suspended Faisal Movers’ operations for 30 days within its jurisdiction following a tragic accident on December 30, 2024. The incident, involving a Faisal Movers bus, resulted in 11 fatalities and left 14 others injured.
This suspension comes after the company faced consecutive incidents, prompting an investigation into multiple safety violations by the company and its driver.
The probe revealed that the bus was operating on an unauthorized route. Although the bus had a permit to travel between Kot Mithan (Rajanpur) and Rawalpindi, it was instead found traveling on the CPEC Motorway.
Furthermore, Faisal Movers failed to provide access to the vehicle’s tracker data, violating safety protocols designed to prevent accidents.
The NHMP has said that operations will only resume after the company fulfills the safety conditions outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) issued by the NHMP Central Police Office in August 2021.
