The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted a fresh rain spell across the country in the next two days.
According to PMD, a fresh weather system bringing rainfall will likely enter Punjab two days from now.
At present, dry conditions prevail across most of the province, and no rain is expected in the next 24 to 48 hours, however there is a chance of light rain in the suburbs of Karachi during the evening.
Dusty winds are expected in Lahore and other cities, which will bring a slight drop in temperature. However, the overall weather will remain dry, according to PMD.
In Lahore, temperatures may range between 24°C and 34°C. Weather experts say the new rain spell system will enter from the west and bring widespread showers, improving the overall weather.
Meanwhile, most districts in KP are likely to experience partly cloudy skies. Rain and thunder are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Buner, Malakand, Mansehra, and Battagram.
Peshawar recorded 36°C on Tuesday. Dera Ismail Khan and Bannu stood at 32°C and 35°C, respectively. Chitral recorded 31°C, Upper Dir 29°C, Kalam 24°C, and Malam Jabba 20°C.
In Balochistan, hot and dry weather is likely to continue in most parts. However, Khuzdar, Lasbela, and nearby areas may receive rainfall with gusty winds and thunder.
Quetta recorded 33°C while Kalat reached 27°C. Ziarat stood at 21°C, Zhob 36°C, Sibi 41°C, and Turbat hit 43°C. Other high temperatures included Nokundi at 42°C, Chaman at 36°C, Gwadar at 38°C, and Jiwani at 39°C.

According to the Met Office, the overall weather in the city will remain hot and humid over the next 24 hours.
Daytime temperatures are expected to stay between 35°C and 37°C, while the minimum temperature could drop to around 27.5°C. Humidity levels in Karachi are currently at 49%, the PMD added.
