The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast rain in Karachi next week.
In a statement, the department said thunderstorms and rainfall are expected Monday evening, which could continue for one to two days.
Earlier, the Met Office had forecast thunderstorms, hail, and heavy rain across various parts of the country today, particularly in upper Sindh and Balochistan during the evening. It also predicted scattered showers in Quetta, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Kashmir, with the possibility of heavy downpours and hailstorms in some areas.
Lahore received rain on Thursday night, leading to a drop in temperatures, with more showers expected this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) had already issued a rain alert, warning of strong storms and heavy rainfall through May 4, along with the risk of lightning over the next three days. It also cautioned about potential landslides in Murree and Galiyat, urging local authorities to stay on high alert.
