Karachi is expected to experience isolated dust storms and thunderstorms accompanied by rain on Monday evening, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).Â
The PMD reported that a westerly wave is currently impacting the upper and central regions of the country, influencing weather patterns. Conditions in Karachi are anticipated to remain hot and humid, with a chance of dust-thunderstorms and rainfall in the evening. The outskirts of the city could also witness thunderstorms and rain.
Meanwhile, scattered dust storms and thunderstorm-related rainfall are expected across various districts, including Jamshoro, Tando Mohammad Khan, Badin, Hyderabad, Mitiari, Tando Allahyar, Mirpurkhas, Nosheroferoz, Sanghar, Khairpur, Ghotki, Umerkot, Tharparkar, Badin, Shikarpur, and Kashmore, according to the PMD.
The department has issued an advisory, warning that strong winds, thunderstorms, hailstorms, and lightning could pose risks to loose structures such as electric poles, trees, vehicles, and solar panels.
Farmers have been urged to adjust their crop activities in line with the weather forecast and ensure the safety of their livestock in preparation for adverse conditions.
