DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Counter Terror Department (CTD) of Khyber Pakthunkhwa has claimed to have killed a wanted terrorist of banned TTP, Gandapur Group, in an intelligence based operation in Kulachi area.

According to details obtained by MM News, Security forces and the CTD received a tip off and conducted a joint intelligence based operation in Madi area of Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan.
After spotting the security personnel, the terrorists resorted to indiscriminate firing, which was effectively responded. As soon as the firing stopped, security personnel moved forward, recovering a body who was later identified as Ghafoor Ahmed, resident of Tank. One 9mm gun, 4 hand grenades and a bike were recovered from the spot.

Authorities said Ghafoor was affiliated with TTP Gandapur group, and was wanted for several terror incidents including bomb attacks on police and security personnel.

In another development, wanted terrorist Gul Yousuf was arrested from Khargai Checkpost, Tank. Gul Yousuf was wanted for his involvement in multiple cases of extortion, terrorism, and killing of Col Mujeeb and Capt Sohail.
