TOKYO: India booked their place in the Asian Games cricket final with a dominant 124-run victory over Sri Lanka in the second semi-final.
According to media reports, India set Sri Lanka a target of 170 runs in the second semi-final, but the Sri Lankan batting line-up collapsed under relentless pressure from the Indian bowlers. The entire Sri Lankan team was bowled out for just 45 runs.
Sri Lankan batters struggled throughout their innings and appeared completely unable to counter the Indian bowling attack. India ultimately secured a comprehensive 124-run victory to seal their place in the final.
Following India’s emphatic win, the Asian Games cricket final will feature a highly anticipated clash between traditional rivals Pakistan and India. The final is scheduled to be played on October 3, with cricket fans eagerly awaiting the high-profile encounter.
