Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said that delegations from the United States and Iran would visit Pakistan on Friday to engage in talks aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian confirmed Tehran’s participation in the Islamabad-led negotiations during a conversation with PM Shehbaz earlier in the day.

Addressing the federal cabinet, the Prime Minister emphasized that the ceasefire marks only the first step toward lasting peace. “Day after tomorrow, at my invitation, a US delegation is coming to Pakistan. In the same way, an Iranian delegation is also coming,” he said.

Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump warned against supplying weapons to Iran, threatening immediate 50% tariffs on any country doing so.
He also affirmed that the US would engage with Iran but maintain a strict stance against uranium enrichment, describing the developments as “a very productive regime change.”
