ISLAMABAD: United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on 16th February for a four-day visit.
This news was confirmed by Foreign Office spokesperson Ayesha Farooqui in a weekly press briefing today in Islamabad.
The foreign spokesperson said that the UN secretary-general would be visiting Pakistan from 16th to 19th February. He would also visit Lahore and Gurdwara Kartarpur during his four-day trip.
She highlighted the Turkish President’s visit by saying Recep Tayyip Erdogan would arrive in Pakistan today on a two-day official visit where he would hold important meetings with the civil and military leadership of the country.
He would also address the joint sitting of parliament on 14th February and meet President Dr. Arif Alvi on dinner hosted in his honour.
Erodgan last visited Pakistan in 2016, during the PML-N-led government, during which he also addressed the parliament. He was accompanied by his wife Emine and a high-level delegation.
