LONDON: Britain said it would make social networking websites including Facebook, Twitter and Snap responsible for monitoring or deleting offensive posts from their pages.
Speaking to the media ministers of the U.K government said, “Responsibility will be placed to ensure that all companies have processes in place to respond to negative material complaints and enhance their customers ‘ protection.”

Britain’s Minister of Digital Affairs Nicky Morgan and Minister of the Interior Priti Patel said, “As the technology continues to expand and change our lives, it is important that we strike the right balance between a flourishing, open and diverse virtual world and one in which customers are secured without any damage.”
The Ministers further said, The responsibility will refer to sites where customer-generated material is posted by tweets, blogs or photo sharing.
