KARACHI: Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan has responded with humour after a false report claiming his death circulated widely on social media.
A fabricated report about the cricketer’s alleged sudden death began circulating across various social media platforms, leaving users surprised and prompting widespread reactions.

Azam Khan, however, appeared to take the rumour lightly. In a video that surfaced online, the cricketer can be seen sitting with his friends and laughing at the false report.
Taking a sarcastic swipe at the rumour, Azam Khan said: “He was a good player. Poor guy was supposed to play for Pakistan tomorrow, but he died.”
Azam Khan’s International Career
The 28-year-old hard-hitting batter last represented Pakistan on June 6, 2024, in a T20 World Cup match against the United States.
Azam Khan has so far played 14 T20 Internationals for Pakistan, scoring 88 runs.
