SUKKUR: The Sindh police is all set to launch a massive operation against the outlaws in a bid to curb the rising incidents of dacoities in the Katcha area of Ubauro.
The decision was made after the approval of the Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP), who gave the go-ahead to deploy 480 policemen and set up 60 check-posts in the area.
According to reports gathered from multiple media sources, the police have also decided to tighten the noose around dacoits in Rawanti Kacha near the Sindh River after the successful operation in the Katcha area of Rahim Yar Khan. Special commandos and Rapid Response Force with sophisticated weapons and modern armoured vehicles have already arrived in the area to aid the operation.
The Sindh IGP is expected to visit Rawanti Kacha today to monitor the operation, which is being conducted with the help of modern technology.
It is worth mentioning that the Punjab police had launched a grand operation against dacoits in the Katcha area of the Indus near the Sindh border on Sunday, in which an alleged gangster was killed while his six accomplices and a policeman were injured.
