Sindh Education Department on Wednesday announced winter holidays for schools and colleges across the province.
As per the announcement, all government and private schools and colleges will remain closed from December 22, 2024 (Sunday) to December 31, 2024 (Tuesday) in Sindh for winter vacations.
According to details, all government and private schools and colleges will reopen from January 1, 2025 (Wednesday).
The 10-day winter vacations will be allowed according to the decision of the steering committee of the school education department of the Sindh government.
A notification about winter vacations in government and private schools and colleges in Sindh will be issued next week.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Education Department has started the procedure to outsource 2,903 government schools during the third phase of privatization.
During the third phase, a school with one hundred students and two teachers will be outsourced while upgraded high schools will also be privatized.
All middle and high schools that are operational in the province without teachers will also be outsourced during the third phase.
It is necessary to mention here that during the first phase around 5863 government schools were out-sourced while 4453 schools were out-sourced in the second phase.
Around 13,000 governments will be privatized in the third phase. After the completion of the out-sourcing process, only 35,000 government schools will be left for the Punjab government.
