The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has said that Karachi is likely to witness cold weather after December 4, with a possible decrease of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature recorded early this morning was 20.4°C, with light fog reducing visibility to 2 kilometers.
The maximum temperature today is forecasted to range between 30°C and 32°C, while the minimum will be between 19°C and 21°C. Moderate northeast winds are expected to blow at speeds of 8 to 15 kilometers per hour.
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz stated that cold winds from recent rainfall in Balochistan might reach Karachi, causing temperatures to decrease by 2 to 3°C for both minimum and maximum readings by December 4.
Earlier, Sarfraz mentioned that a western weather system bringing rain had entered Balochistan, leading to rainfall in various districts before moving toward the northern regions.
The trailing cold winds from this system are anticipated to affect Karachi, bringing the minimum temperature down to around 16°C and the maximum to 30°C, intensifying cold conditions in the city after December 4.
