If you’re planning to apply for the Government’s Hajj Scheme for 2024, this guide will help you understand the process, the costs involved, and the application procedures.
The Government of Pakistan has introduced two types of Hajj packages for 2024:
- Long Hajj Package (38-42 days)
This package has two sub-categories:- Regular Hajj Scheme: For applicants residing in Pakistan.
- Sponsorship Hajj Scheme: For overseas Pakistanis working or doing business abroad.
- Short Term Hajj Package (20-25 days)
This package is ideal for those who have limited time and prefer a shorter stay in Saudi Arabia. It also has two sub-categories:- Regular Hajj Scheme: For Pakistani residents.
- Sponsorship Hajj Scheme: For overseas Pakistanis.
Cost of Hajj Packages
Long Hajj Package (38-42 days)
- Regular Hajj Scheme (For residents in Pakistan):
- Sindh: PKR 65,000
- Other regions (Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Azad Kashmir): PKR 75,000
- Sponsorship Hajj Scheme (For overseas Pakistanis):
- Sindh: USD 3,765
- Other regions: USD 3,800
Short Term Hajj Package (20-25 days)
- Regular Hajj Scheme (For residents in Pakistan):
- Sindh: PKR 40,000
- Other regions: PKR 45,000
- Sponsorship Hajj Scheme (For overseas Pakistanis):
- Sindh: USD 4,500
- Other regions: USD 4,500

How to Apply?
- Application Deadline:
Applications for the Government’s Hajj Scheme 2024 must be submitted before December 12, 2024. Applications received after this date will not be processed. - Where to Apply:
Applicants can submit their forms at various designated banks, including:- National Bank of Pakistan (NBP)
- Habib Bank Limited (HBL)
- United Bank Limited (UBL)
- Bank Alfalah
- MCB, Faysal Bank, and other authorized banks.
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Regular Hajj Scheme: Open to Pakistani residents.
- Sponsorship Hajj Scheme: Only available for overseas Pakistanis who are working or doing business abroad and wish to pay the Hajj expenses in US dollars.
- Balloting (Lottery System):
For the Regular Hajj Scheme, applicants will undergo a lottery (Kura Andazi). Only those selected in the lottery will be eligible to perform Hajj. - Required Documents:
Applicants need to submit necessary identification, passport copies, and proof of residency or overseas employment (for the Sponsorship Scheme).
