Pakistan cricket team’s famous bowler Shaheen Afridi made a surprising revelation about former player Shahid Afridi.
In an interview, he talked about the match against India to be played on October 24, 2021, and said that when that match was against India in our T20 World Cup, he asked Lala to talk to him. For Shaheen, he played only one match against India, also in the Asia Cup, with which it was in ODI format.
He went on to say, “It was a T20 game and we have never played India before nor win the World Cup match against.” Shaheen Afridi said that he thought this was a great opportunity for him so he called Lala for some suggestions and asked him, “What can I do differently today?”
“Shahid Afridi gave me very good advice and said ‘do something so that the whole stadium only sees the Shaheens’ and give your 100% share in bowling and fielding, I just did that and we got the results,” he said.
It may be recalled that one of the most famous days for Pakistan cricket came on October 24, 2021, when Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets for the first time in the history of the ICC T20 World Cup. In which Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled well and got the wicket of Virat Kohli and helped India to 151 runs.
Shaheen Afridi completed his four overs with 31 runs with an impressive figure of 3. His spell did the same damage to India as Mohammad Amir did against the same opposition in the final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 where he sent his top 3 back to the pavilion.
