Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior has announced strict action against foreigners who remain in the Kingdom illegally after the expiry of their visas.
According to a statement issued by the ministry on Monday, any foreign national who fails to leave Saudi Arabia after their visa expires will face legal action under the country’s laws.
The ministry said violators could face fines of up to 50,000 Saudi riyals, imprisonment for up to six months, followed by deportation.
The Ministry of Interior stressed that Saudi Arabia is strictly enforcing its immigration regulations and will not tolerate violations of residency, labor, or border security laws.

The ministry urged all foreign residents and visitors to monitor their visa validity, leave the Kingdom on time, and comply fully with Saudi laws to avoid legal proceedings and penalties.
According to the statement, violations related to visa overstays can be reported by contacting 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province. In all other regions of the Kingdom, residents can report such cases by calling 999.
