Sarfaraz Ahmed remains ‘Category A’ player, following sacking: PCB

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) cleared the confusion on former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed’s central contract, saying he will remain a ‘category A’ player.

According to PCB spokesperson, revising Sarfaraz’s central contract was not on the agenda. 

Currently, Yasir Shah and Babar Azam are the two other ‘A category’ players in PCB’s central contract, spokesperson added.

The confusion regarding Sarfaraz’s contract was observed after his sacking from three formats of crickets on Friday.

It is pertinent to mention that the fans of sacked caption did not welcome the news and announced to protest against PCB decision.

The fans have planned to organize protect outside the residence of the player on October 20^th (Sunday).
