ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has clarified that no constitutional amendment is being introduced to strip young people of their right to vote.
Speaking to a private news channel, Rana Sanaullah said Pakistan would continue to play a positive role in promoting peace in the world, adding that the Muslim Ummah was taking pride in the country’s stance and efforts. He stressed the need for maintaining unity within the country.
Commenting on reports regarding voting rights, he said no amendment was being brought to deprive the youth of their voting rights. However, he added that different matters often come under discussion and everyone has the right to openly express their opinion.
Rana Sanaullah also said that a “good relief plan” was being prepared in connection with the upcoming budget, adding that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would personally announce the relief measures.
