LAHORE: The Punjab government has removed the name of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) chief Saad Rizvi’s name from the fourth schedule.
According to details, the federal government had declared TLP a banned organization in April this year and put the name of Hafiz Saad Rizvi in the fourth schedule.
Saad Rizvi was removed from the fourth schedule on the recommendation of the District Intelligence Committee. The notification was issued to remove the name from the fourth schedule.
The notification was issued by the Additional Chief Secretary Home. Saad Rizvi’s name was included in the fourth schedule on April 16 this year and he was arrested.
Earlier, Sheikh Rashid had said that TLP chief Saad Rizvi had insisted on closing the French embassy in talks with the government. Addressing a function in Lahore seven days ago, the Home Minister said that the previous agreement was signed between the government and the banned organization.
