The Punjab government has announced a bonus salary for employees of the Crime Control Department (CCD), granting them additional compensation based on the Basic Pay Scales of 2011. However, only active-duty personnel directly serving under the CCD are eligible for this allowance.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, the provincial cabinet has formally approved the disbursement of the allowance to eligible officers and staff of the CCD. The new directives clearly state that not all employees will qualify for this benefit.
The allowance will not be extended to those serving on deputation, suspended officers, or individuals currently on long-term leave. Similarly, officials designated as Officers on Special Duty (OSDs) will also be ineligible for the payment.
The Punjab Home Department clarified that the allowance is intended solely for active-duty personnel directly serving under the CCD and meeting all eligibility criteria. The initiative aims to recognize the demanding nature of duties performed by CCD personnel in maintaining internal security and countering terrorism threats.
