Lahore: Political activities in Punjab as well as Islamabad have intensified ahead of the expected announcement today by Chairman PTI Imran Khan to dissolve Punjab Assembly.

The leaders of PMLQ including Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi have increased their whirlwind tours of political meetings in what appears to be last ditch effort to find a solution aimed at averting buying some time for the Punjab Assembly.

According to the details gathered by MM News, former Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced on November 26 at the end of his Long March that not only the KP and Punjab Assemblies would be dissolved, but PTI MPAs in Sindh and Balochistan would also resign. He is expected to announce the date of dissolution of Punjab Assembly at a Public rally in Lahore today.

As behind-the-scene political maneuvers geared momentum with President Arif Alvi’s shuttle diplomacy between Islamabad and Lahore, Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi left Lahore after cabinet meeting and reached Rawalpindi late last night to meet ‘some important figure’.
Pervaiz Elahi has reportedly advised Chairman PTI Imran Khan not to dissolve the assemblies immediately. He has also reportedly held consultations with Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain about the dissolution of the assembly.

Soon after the late night development, another PMLQ leader Moonis Elahi rushed to meet former Prime Minister Imran Khan with a message from Pervaiz Elahi, during which the political situation in Punjab and dissolution of the assembly was also discussed.
