ISLAMABAD: The Meteorological Department of Pakistan (PMD) has predicted hot and dry weather in most parts of the country.
As per the PMD, Islamabad, and Kashmir are also likely to receive thundershowers and rain over the next 24 hours. Rain is also expected in Upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
According to the PMD, rain-wind-thunderstorm with gusty winds are expected in upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during the next twelve hours.
Moreover, heavy rain in different areas of Lahore last night inundated roads and streets and residence faced immense difficulties as rainwater entered houses in low lying areas. Dozens of LESCO feeders tripped due to heavy rain and strong wind in the city, resulting in a power outage in various areas.
