ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued an important forecast regarding the weather across the country, warning that severe heat wave will continue in some areas, while wind, thunderstorms and rain are likely in some regions.
The weather conditions in different parts of the country may be completely different from each other during the next 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, severe heat will continue to reign in the districts of Sindh and southern Balochistan today. After noon, it is expected to be partly cloudy in Kashmir, the Potohar region and northeastern Balochistan, while rain with wind and thunderstorms may occur in some areas of Punjab, which is likely to bring a temporary reduction in the intensity of the heat.
According to the data, the highest temperature recorded yesterday was 49 degrees Celsius in Sibi and Turbat. Shaheed Benazirabad and Naukundi recorded 47 degrees Celsius, Sukkur recorded 43, Hyderabad, Dera Ghazi Khan and Dera Ismail Khan recorded 41 degrees Celsius. Multan recorded 39, Peshawar and Muzaffarabad recorded 38, while Karachi recorded 37 degrees Celsius.
After the rain in the federal capital Islamabad yesterday, the weather became pleasant and the temperature dropped to 26 degrees Celsius, however, the maximum temperature in the city is expected to reach 33 degrees Celsius today.
On the other hand, the heat continues to be intense in Karachi, with the temperature in the city recorded at 31 degrees Celsius early in the morning, while the mercury can reach 37 degrees during the day.
