ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday granted a one-year extension to Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, Dunya News reported.
CAS Sindh was set to retire tomorrow (Monday) after the completion of this three-year tenure in the top post.
The Prime Minister has forwarded the recommendation for the extension of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Babar’s tenure to President Asif Ali Zardari, who approved it.
Zaheer Babar, a four-star air force officer, currently serves as the 16th Chief of Air Staff. He assumed command on March 19, 2021, succeeding ACM Mujahid Anwar Khan.
It should be noted that, Zaheer Babar recently met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss various national issues.
