ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the supervisory federal cabinet will be held today in the federal capital under the chairmanship of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar.
According to the details, Anwar ul Haq Kakar will preside over the federal cabinet meeting today which has been called at 11 a.m. in the Prime Minister’s House during which the overall situation of the country will be discussed.
According to some media reports, in the federal cabinet meeting chaired by the prime minister, important issues including the economic situation of the country will be discussed while the peace and order situation across the country will be discussed.
PM Kakar for trickle-down effect of SIFC initiatives in each province
The federal cabinet members will be briefed on the ongoing economic and security situation across the country. Kakar will take federal cabinet members into confidence regarding economic issues.
It should be noted that earlier in the federal cabinet meeting held in August, a decision could not be taken to give relief to consumers in electricity bills.
Even in the cabinet meeting presided over by Kakar, a decision could not be taken to give free electricity to the employees of the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Power Distribution Companies (DISCOs).
The Cabinet directed the Energy Division to devise a mechanism for relief in electricity bills. In the Cabinet meeting, the issue of outsourcing Islamabad Airport was entrusted to the Steering Committee.
