Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a major drop on Friday, falling by Rs3,300 per tola after a relatively stable session the previous day.
According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the new price of gold stands at Rs348,700 per tola in the local market.
Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold declined by Rs2,833, settling at Rs298,950. Just a day earlier, the price per tola had remained steady at Rs352,000.
The decline mirrors a drop in international gold prices, which fell by $33 to reach $3,305 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
In contrast, silver prices in the local market experienced a modest rise, increasing by Rs40 to reach Rs3,497 per tola.
