Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, has asserted that Kashmir cannot achieve freedom through negotiations alone, emphasizing the need for a sustained and collective struggle to secure the region’s independence from Indian occupation.
Addressing the media, Hafiz Naeem strongly criticized India’s actions in Kashmir, particularly the revocation of Article 370, which had previously granted the region special status.
He described these actions as a blatant violation of international law and termed them a “declaration of war” by India.
He also condemned India for attempting to blame Pakistan for incidents such as the Pahalgam attack, which resulted in several casualties, arguing that India was orchestrating such events to divert global attention from its ongoing human rights abuses in Kashmir.
In addition, Hafiz Naeem denounced Israeli atrocities against Palestinians, accusing Israel of genocide by forcibly displacing Palestinian families from their ancestral lands. He criticized the global community—especially the United States—for supporting Israel despite its repeated human rights violations.
The Jamaat-e-Islami leader expressed alarm over the growing strategic partnership between India and Israel, warning that their collaboration was fueling terrorism and violence worldwide.
Hafiz Naeem urged Pakistan’s leadership to take decisive action, including the immediate convening of an All Parties Conference to develop a unified national strategy in support of Kashmir’s freedom struggle.
