An online video from Dubai depicting numerous Pakistani people furious and irate about the Burj Khalifa’s failure to display the Pakistani flag at midnight on the country’s Independence Day.
Many Pakistanis can be seen waiting near the Burj Khalifa in the video at around midnight in anticipation of spotting the colors of their flag displayed on the structure.

But to their surprise, even after a few minutes past midnight, nothing happened on the world’s tallest building. The disappointed people then began chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad,’ to show their support for their country.
A woman who supposedly recorded the whole scenario on her mobile camera can be heard saying that, “The time is 12:01 am now and the Dubai officials have informed that Pakistan’s national flag won’t be displayed on Burj Khalifa. This has become our status now.”
“All the Pakistani nationals here can be seen sloganeering, yet the Pakistan flag hasn’t been displayed on the Burj Khalifa. So sad, they’ve played a prank on all the Pakistanis,” she said.
The Burj Khalifa had displayed the Pakistan national flag on the occasion of its Independence Day last year. Dubai has a large expat population from Pakistan and India.
