ISLAMABAD: At least 11 people have lost their lives due to coronavirus in Pakistan while 1425 new cases have come to light in the country.
According to the latest statistics from the National Command and Operations Center, 1425 people tested positive in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of positive cases to 1000034. In the last 24 hours, 11 civilians have been killed in coronavirus, bringing the death toll to 22,939.
So far, 10909 people have lost their lives in Punjab, 5785 in Sindh, 4405 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 789 in Islamabad, 608 in Azad Kashmir, 321 in Balochistan, and 122 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
It should be noted that due to violation of SOPS and non-implementation of social distance in Karachi, the number of corona cases is increasing rapidly and the rate of delta virus has reached 100 percent.
According to the National Institute of Virology, the rate of Indian variant coronavirus in Karachi has reached 100 percent while the wild type corona has been eliminated from Karachi.
According to Dr. Iqbal Chaudhry, various forms of delta virus cases came to light in Karachi yesterday. He said that 8464 tests were conducted in Karachi yesterday, out of which 1393 cases of coronavirus were detected. According to statistics, the spread rate of the virus in Karachi has reached 16.46 percent.
