ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has left for China today on a two-day visit at the invitation of his Chinese counterpart.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the visit is part of a high-level exchange between Pakistan and China. During the visit, the two sides will discuss economic corridors, defense, corona vaccine, counter-terrorism, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
It may be recalled that nine Chinese nationals were killed in an incident in Upper Kohistan on July 14. Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry had confirmed the presence of explosives in the incident. Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry had said that Prime Minister Imran Khan was personally monitoring every development in this regard and the Pakistani government was in close touch with the Chinese embassy in this regard.
Pakistan and China have agreed to complete the investigation into the Dasu bus accident as soon as possible and vowed that no mischievous power can spoil Pakistan-China relations.
