Pakistan and Iran have restored air travel after a 60-day suspension following heightened regional tensions involving the United States and Israel.
On Thursday, the first commercial flight from Iran’s Mahan Air landed in Islamabad since February 26. Flight W51185 carried passengers from Tehran to the Pakistani capital, marking the resumption of passenger services between the two countries.
Mahan Air has also scheduled return flights from Islamabad to Tehran, with the next service on this route set for May 7.
This marks the first time in over two months that commercial flights have operated between Tehran and Islamabad, signaling a step toward normalization of connectivity in the region.
Officials confirmed that regular passenger operations will continue according to the airline’s schedule, providing a vital link for travelers and strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Iran.
